  • 3 large ripe bananas Approximately 1 ½ cups mashed
  • ½ cup creamy almond butter
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup chocolate chips Use dairy-free for vegan option
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • ¼ tsp sea salt
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2/3 cup chopped walnuts or pecans

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Line a 9 inch x 9 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth with some small lumps.
  • Stir in the creamy almond butter until well mixed with the bananas.
  • Add the rolled oats and chocolate chips. Stir until combined.
  • Transfer the mixture to the lined baking pan and smooth the top with a spatula.

Baking

  • Bake in preheated oven for 18 to 25 minutes until edges are golden brown and center is set.

Cooling and Serving

  • Remove from oven and let cool completely before slicing into squares.

Notes
