Ingredients
  

For the Pearl Onions

  • 1 pound pearl onions Use fresh or frozen, peeled or unpeeled
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil For coating the onions
  • 1 teaspoon salt Adjust to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper Freshly cracked preferred
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder For added flavor
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme Or your preferred herb, optional garnish of fresh herbs

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  • If the pearl onions are not peeled, blanch them in boiling water for 1-2 minutes to loosen their skins. Transfer them to cold water, then peel.

Cooking

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the peeled pearl onions, olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and dried thyme. Toss until the onions are well coated.
  • Place the seasoned pearl onions in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they are not crowded.
  • Cook the onions in the air fryer for about 12-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
  • When golden brown and crispy, remove them from the air fryer and let cool slightly before serving.
