Ingredients
  

For the apples

  • 4 medium medium-sized apples (your choice of variety) Firm varieties like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp work best.
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar Can use coconut sugar for a healthier option.
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon Add nutmeg or ginger for extra flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter or coconut oil Used to coat the apples.
  • 1 pinch salt

Optional toppings

  • to taste chopped nuts or oats For topping if desired.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Wash the apples thoroughly and remove the core using an apple corer or knife.
  • Slice each apple into wedges or halves, as per your preference.
  • In a separate bowl, mix brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. If using, add chopped nuts or oats.
  • Drizzle the apple slices with melted butter or coconut oil and toss gently to coat.
  • Sprinkle the sugar and cinnamon mixture over the apples and ensure all slices are coated.

Cooking

  • Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  • Arrange the apple slices in the air fryer basket in a single layer to avoid overcrowding.
  • Air fry the apples for about 12-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
  • Once finished, remove the apples from the fryer and let them cool slightly before serving.

Notes
