Ingredients
  

For the Shrimp

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined Fresh or thawed
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour For breading
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 large eggs Beaten
  • 1 cup panko bread crumbs For breading

For the Bang Bang Sauce

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 3 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha sauce Adjust for spice preference
  • to taste Fresh chives or green onions, chopped For garnish

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Start by rinsing the shrimp under cold water, then pat them dry with paper towels.
  • In a shallow bowl, mix the flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Set aside.
  • In a separate bowl, beat the eggs until well combined.
  • Place the panko bread crumbs in another shallow dish.
  • Coat each shrimp in the flour mixture, dip into the beaten eggs, and roll in the panko breadcrumbs.

Cooking

  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes.
  • Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking oil and arrange the shrimp in a single layer.
  • Air fry the shrimp for about 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
  • While the shrimp are cooking, prepare the bang bang sauce by whisking together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and sriracha.
  • Once cooked, remove the shrimp and toss them in the bang bang sauce until well-coated.

Serving

  • Serve immediately, garnished with chopped chives or green onions.

Notes

For additional crunch, consider double-dipping the shrimp in flour, egg, and then panko. Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days. Reheat in the air fryer for best results.
