Ingredients
  

For the Chicken

  • 2 pounds chicken pieces (thighs, drumsticks, or breasts) Choose your favorite parts of the chicken.
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce Use your preferred barbecue sauce.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt Adjust according to taste.
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Preparation

  • Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.
  • In a large bowl, combine garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
  • Add the chicken pieces to the bowl and drizzle with olive oil. Toss until all pieces are coated thoroughly.

Cooking

  • Lightly grease the air fryer basket with non-stick spray.
  • Place the seasoned chicken pieces in the basket in a single layer, ensuring they do not overlap.
  • Cook the chicken in the air fryer for 10 minutes.
  • Pause the air fryer and brush the chicken with barbecue sauce, then resume cooking for an additional 5-10 minutes until cooked through with an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  • Allow the chicken to rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes
