Preparation

  • Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar (if using).
  • Add the cubed, chilled butter to the flour mixture and mix until you have a coarse, crumb-like texture.
  • Gradually pour in the milk while mixing just until combined. Avoid overmixing.
  • Lightly flour a clean surface and turn the dough out onto it. Gently knead 2-3 times to bring the dough together.
  • Roll the dough out into a rectangle about ½ inch thick, fold in half to create layers, then roll it out again.
  • Cut the dough into strips or triangles according to your preference.

Cooking

  • Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray and arrange the biscuit rolls in the basket, leaving space between each.
  • Air fry for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Remove the rolls and let them cool slightly before serving.
