Instructions

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, crab meat, chopped green onions, garlic powder, soy sauce, and sesame oil (if using). Stir until well blended.
  • Take a wonton wrapper and place a small spoonful of the crab mixture in the center.
  • Moisten the edges of the wrapper with a little water, fold it in half to form a triangle, and press the edges to seal. You can also create a pretty shape by pinching the corners together.
  • Repeat the process with the remaining wrappers and filling.

Cooking

  • Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  • Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Arrange the prepared crab rangoons in a single layer, making sure not to overcrowd them.
  • Spray the tops of the rangoons with a bit of cooking spray for extra crispiness.
  • Cook for 8 to 10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
  • Once cooked, remove them from the air fryer and let cool briefly before serving.

Notes

Serve as an appetizer or main dish. Pair with fresh salad or steamed vegetables. Create a dipping station with sauces like sweet chili or soy for enhanced flavor. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the refrigerator. To reheat, place back in the air fryer for about 4-5 minutes. Uncooked rangoons can be frozen for longer storage.
