Preparation

  • Start by washing the potatoes thoroughly. Peel them if you prefer, but leaving the skin on can add extra nutrients and texture.
  • Cut the potatoes into uniform dice, about 1 inch in size. This ensures even cooking.
  • In a large bowl, toss the diced potatoes with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper until all the pieces are well coated.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.

Cooking

  • Place the seasoned potatoes in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Avoid overcrowding for the best results.
  • Cook the potatoes for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking.
  • Check the potatoes for doneness. They should be golden brown and crisp on the outside. If needed, cook for an additional 2-5 minutes.
  • Once cooked, remove the potatoes from the air fryer and, if desired, sprinkle with fresh herbs for added flavor before serving.
