  • 2 pieces filet mignon steaks (about 6-8 oz each) Choose well-marbled steaks for best results.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional) For additional flavor.
  • Fresh herbs for garnish (such as rosemary or thyme) Enhances presentation and flavor.

Preparation

  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  • Pat the filet mignon dry with paper towels.
  • In a small bowl, mix olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika (if using).
  • Rub the seasoning mixture evenly over both sides of each steak.

Cooking

  • Place the filet mignon in the air fryer basket, spacing them out for proper air circulation.
  • Cook the steaks for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through. Use a meat thermometer to check for doneness: 130°F (54°C) for medium-rare, 140°F (60°C) for medium, and 150°F (66°C) for medium-well.
  • Remove the steaks from the air fryer and let them rest for about 5 minutes.
  • Garnish with fresh herbs before serving.
