A quick and easy recipe for a perfectly crispy and gooey grilled cheese sandwich made in an air fryer.

Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 2 slices slices of bread Choose your favorite type—white, whole grain, sourdough, or gluten-free.
  • 2 slices slices of cheese Opt for your preferred cheese like cheddar, mozzarella, or provolone.
  • 1 tbsp butter Use butter or cooking spray for a crispy, golden finish.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your air fryer to 370°F (188°C).
  • Spread a thin layer of butter on one side of each slice of bread.

Assembly

  • Place one slice of bread, butter-side down, in the air fryer basket.
  • Layer your chosen cheese on top of the first slice of bread.
  • Top with the second slice of bread, butter-side up.

Cooking

  • Cook the sandwich for about 5-7 minutes, flipping it halfway through.
  • Check that the bread is golden brown and the cheese has melted.
  • If necessary, cook for an additional minute or two.

Serving

  • Let the sandwich cool for a minute before slicing. Serve hot.

Notes

For best results, use thicker bread and don't skimp on butter. You can experiment with different cheeses and add-ins.
