Ingredients

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk (or a milk alternative)
  • 1 piece egg
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter (or oil)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Whisk them together until evenly mixed.
  • In another bowl, whisk the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract until fully combined.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir gently until combined; it’s okay if a few lumps remain—do not overmix.

Cooking

  • Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  • Lightly grease the air fryer basket with cooking spray or a little oil to prevent sticking.
  • Pour a small amount of pancake batter into the basket to form one pancake. The batter should be about 1/4 cup for each pancake.
  • Cook for 5-7 minutes, checking for doneness. The pancake should be golden brown and cooked through.
  • Carefully remove the pancake, and repeat the process for the remaining batter.

Serving

  • Serve warm with your favorite toppings such as maple syrup, fresh fruits, whipped cream, or nut butter.
