Carrots and Seasonings

  • 1 pound fresh carrots, peeled and cut into sticks or rounds Aim for even-sized pieces for uniform cooking.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil Helps to achieve a crispy texture.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme or rosemary Choose based on preference.
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • optional Fresh parsley or chives for garnish Adds freshness and color.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Peel the carrots and cut them into even-sized sticks or rounds, aiming for about ½-inch thickness.
  • In a large bowl, combine the carrot pieces, olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme or rosemary, salt, and pepper. Toss until well coated.

Cooking

  • Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for about 5 minutes.
  • Place the seasoned carrots into the air fryer basket in a single layer, avoiding overcrowding. Cook in batches if necessary.
  • Cook for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking. The carrots should be tender and slightly crispy when done.
  • Remove the carrots from the air fryer and allow to cool slightly before serving.
  • If desired, sprinkle fresh parsley or chives over the top before serving.

Notes
