  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

Optional Seasonings

  • fresh herbs (like rosemary or thyme) or spices (like paprika) Use to taste

Instructions

Preparation

  • Wash and peel the potatoes, then cut them into even slices, about ¼-inch thick.
  • In a large bowl, combine the sliced potatoes with olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Toss until the potatoes are evenly coated.

Cooking

  • Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.
  • Place the seasoned potato slices into the air fryer basket in a single layer. Avoid overcrowding.
  • Cook for 15-18 minutes, stirring or shaking halfway through the cooking process.
  • Monitor the potatoes during the last few minutes to prevent burning. They should be crispy and golden brown.
  • Remove the potato slices from the air fryer and allow them to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For best results, use a mandoline for uniform slices and do not skip preheating the air fryer. Store cooled potatoes in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days, or freeze par-cooked slices for later use. Experiment with different seasonings and types of potatoes for variations.
