  • 2 large Large eggs Use farm-fresh for best results.
  • Water (for serving, optional) Ice water for cooling.
  • Salt and pepper For seasoning, adjust to taste.

Preparation

  • Preheat the air fryer to 270°F (130°C).
  • Carefully place the eggs in the air fryer basket, ensuring they do not touch each other to prevent cracking.

Cooking

  • Cook the eggs for about 10-12 minutes, adjusting the time based on how runny you like the yolks.
  • Once cooking time completes, use tongs to carefully remove the eggs from the air fryer.
  • Immediately transfer the eggs into a bowl filled with ice water to stop the cooking process for about 5 minutes.

Serving

  • Gently tap the eggs on a hard surface to crack the shell, then peel them under running water for easier removal.
  • Serve your soft boiled eggs as needed, sprinkled with salt and pepper or atop toast.

Notes

If peeling is difficult, add a teaspoon of baking soda to the water when boiling to help loosen the shells. Store cooked and peeled eggs in a sealed container for up to 4 days.
