Ingredients
  

Cookie Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened Must be softened to room temperature.
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour Can substitute with a gluten-free blend.
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Cream together the softened unsalted butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Crack in the egg and add the vanilla extract. Mix well until well incorporated.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring gently with a spatula until you achieve a soft dough.

Baking

  • Preheat your air fryer to 320°F (160°C).
  • Scoop out portions of dough, roll them into small balls and press them slightly for flatter cookies.
  • Arrange the dough balls in the air fryer basket, leaving space between them.
  • Air fry the cookies for about 8 to 10 minutes until golden brown around the edges.
  • Carefully remove the cookies and let them cool on a wire rack.

Notes

To store, place cookies in an airtight container, with wax paper between layers. For longer storage, freeze them individually wrapped.
