Air Fryer Turkey Meatballs

Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground turkey Choose ground turkey with some fat for flavor.
  • 1/2 cup Breadcrumbs Can substitute with gluten-free breadcrumbs.
  • 1/4 cup Grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large Egg Bind the mixture together.

Seasonings

  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Onion powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning Can be adjusted to taste.
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper
  • 1/4 cup Fresh parsley (optional) Chopped if using.

For Cooking

  • as needed Olive oil spray To prevent sticking.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, black pepper, and parsley (if using). Mix until well combined.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  • Scoop out small portions of the meat mixture and form them into balls, around 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter.

Cooking

  • Lightly spray the air fryer basket with olive oil to prevent sticking.
  • Place the meatballs in a single layer in the basket, ensuring space between them.
  • Cook the meatballs in the air fryer for about 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through. They should be golden brown and fully cooked.
  • Use a meat thermometer to check that the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  • Remove the meatballs from the air fryer and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Feel free to customize the seasoning or try different ground meats. Storing in an airtight container is recommended, and they can be frozen for up to three months.
