Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups Fresh Okra, washed and sliced Quality impacts flavor and texture.
  • 1/2 cup Palm Oil
  • 1 medium Onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 pound Chicken or Beef, cut into bite-sized pieces Use fresh meat for better flavor.
  • 2 cubes Seasoning Cubes
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • as needed cup Water, for cooking Add enough to cover the meat.

Preparation

  • Wash the fresh okra thoroughly under cold water to remove any dirt or impurities.
  • Slice the okra into small pieces to enhance its ability to thicken the soup.

Cooking

  • In a medium-sized pot, heat the palm oil over medium heat.
  • Add chopped onions and minced garlic. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until fragrant and onions are translucent.
  • Add cut pieces of chicken or beef to the pot and sauté for an additional 5-7 minutes until browned.
  • Pour enough water to cover the meat and raise the heat to bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce to a simmer.
  • Cook for about 15 minutes or until the meat is tender.
  • Add the sliced okra, seasoning cubes, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine and let simmer on low heat for 10-15 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and serve warm.

Notes
