Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup fresh spinach leaves (firm packed)
  • 1 medium banana (cut into slices and frozen)
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk (or your choice of milk)
  • 1/2 medium avocado
  • 1/2 to 1 scoop vanilla protein powder (or 1 tablespoon almond butter + 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract)
  • 1/4 tsp. pure vanilla extract
  • 1 to 3 tsp. honey or pure maple syrup (optional)
  • Ice as needed

Instructions
 

  • Gather all your ingredients.
  • Combine spinach, frozen banana slices, almond milk, avocado, and protein powder (or almond butter and vanilla) in the blender.
  • Add the vanilla extract and blend until smooth.
  • If the smoothie is too thick, add more almond milk to reach desired consistency.
  • For added chilliness, blend in ice as needed.
  • Taste the smoothie and adjust sweetness with honey or maple syrup if desired.
  • Pour into glasses and enjoy immediately.
