Main Ingredients

  • 4 pieces hot dogs High-quality hot dogs recommended
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded Can substitute with Monterrey Jack or pepper jack cheese
  • 1 cup chili (homemade or canned) Customize with spice level as preferred
  • 4 pieces hot dog buns Toasting is recommended for extra flavor

Optional Toppings

  • 1 small onion, diced Optional
  • to taste mustard Optional

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  • Place hot dogs in the basket and cook for 5 to 7 minutes until heated through and slightly crispy.
  • While hot dogs are cooking, heat chili on the stovetop.

Assembly

  • Once hot dogs are almost done, add a generous layer of shredded cheddar cheese on top and return to air fryer for 1 to 2 more minutes to melt the cheese.
  • Toast hot dog buns in the air fryer for a couple of minutes.
  • Assemble by placing hot dogs in toasted buns and spooning warm chili over the top.
  • Add optional diced onions and a drizzle of mustard as desired.

Notes
