  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Optional for added taste.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • Wash and peel the sweet potatoes. After peeling, slice them into even rounds, about half an inch thick.
  • In a large bowl, toss the sweet potato slices with olive oil, salt, pepper, and any optional spices you choose.
  • Arrange the coated slices in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Make sure they’re not crowded to promote even cooking.

Baking

  • Bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the slices are golden brown and tender.
  • Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For best results, soak the sliced sweet potatoes in cold water for about 30 minutes before baking for crispier edges. Use high-quality baking sheets for even cooking.
