(about 2 medium bananas)

unsweetened cocoa powder

Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9 x 9 x 2-inch square baking pan with parchment paper.
Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in vanilla extract.
Mix in the flour and salt until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
In a separate bowl, mash the overripe bananas and mix in baking powder.
Combine half of the brownie batter with the banana mixture.
Mix cocoa powder and chocolate chips into the remaining brownie batter until fully incorporated.
Layer half of the brownie batter in the prepared pan, then pour the banana mixture over it. Top with spoonfuls of the remaining brownie batter.
Swirl the mixtures together gently with a knife, then sprinkle with additional chocolate chips.
Bake for 40 to 45 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs.
Allow the brownies to cool completely before cutting into squares.
