Ingredients
  

Base Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats Choose rolled oats for the best texture.
  • 2 cups milk of your choice (dairy or non-dairy) Substitute with plant-based milk for a vegan option.
  • 1 medium banana, mashed Use ripe bananas for optimum sweetness.
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts (walnuts, almonds, or pecans) Feel free to adjust the type of nuts to preference.
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup Optional for sweetness; can be reduced or omitted.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Adds flavor.
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon For added warmth.
  • 1 pinch salt Enhances flavor.

Toppings (optional)

  • 1 medium banana, sliced For topping.
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts For topping.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, milk, mashed banana, chopped nuts, honey or maple syrup, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt.
  • Stir the mixture well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
  • Divide the mixture evenly into two or more jars or containers with lids.
  • Seal the jars and place them in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or overnight.

Serving

  • In the morning, give the oats a good stir. Add more milk if you prefer a thinner consistency.
  • Top with additional banana slices and nuts if desired before serving.

Notes
