BBQ Chicken Coleslaw Wraps

A quick and easy dish combining smoky grilled chicken and crunchy coleslaw in flour tortillas, perfect for lunch, dinner, or picnics.

Ingredients
  

For the chicken

  • 2 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce Store-bought or homemade

For the coleslaw

  • 2 cups coleslaw mix
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For assembly

  • 4 large flour tortillas Warm before assembly
  • 1/4 cup sliced green onions Optional garnish
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro Optional garnish

Preparation

  • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  • Coat the chicken breasts generously with BBQ sauce.
  • Grill the chicken for about 6 to 8 minutes on each side until it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  • While the chicken is grilling, mix the coleslaw mix with mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, honey, salt, and pepper in a bowl until well-coated.

Assembly

  • Remove the chicken from the grill, let it rest, then slice it into thin strips.
  • Warm the tortillas in the microwave or on the grill.
  • Lay a warm tortilla flat, layer with sliced chicken and coleslaw mixture, then top with green onions and cilantro.
  • Roll the tortilla tightly around the filling and cut in half if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

For added flavor, marinate the chicken in BBQ sauce for at least 30 minutes before grilling. These wraps can also be customized with additional vegetables or spices to your taste.
