Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce Use a high-quality sauce for best flavor.
  • 4 pieces flatbreads Store-bought or homemade flatbreads work well.

Toppings

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese Feel free to mix in other cheeses like cheddar or pepper jack.
  • 1/2 cup red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup bell pepper, sliced
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped Garnish for after baking.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil For drizzling over the flatbreads.
  • to taste Salt and pepper To season the toppings.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a bowl, combine the shredded chicken and barbecue sauce. Mix until the chicken is well-coated.
  • Place flatbreads on a baking sheet.
  • Spread the barbecue chicken mixture evenly over each flatbread.
  • Top each flatbread with mozzarella cheese, sliced red onion, and bell pepper.
  • Drizzle a little olive oil over the toppings and season with salt and pepper.

Cooking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  • Remove from the oven and sprinkle with fresh cilantro before cutting into pieces.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!
