  • 2 pieces flatbreads or naan
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded Use pre-cooked or leftover for convenience.
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce Choose a flavor you enjoy.
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese Can substitute with other types of cheese.
  • 1/2 cup red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup bell pepper, sliced Any color is fine.
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped Optional garnish.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil For brushing the flatbreads.
  • to taste Salt and pepper For seasoning.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • In a bowl, mix the shredded chicken with the barbecue sauce until evenly coated.
  • Lightly brush the flatbreads with olive oil and place them on a baking sheet.
  • Spread the barbecue chicken mixture evenly over each flatbread.
  • Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese on top of the chicken, ensuring you cover it well.
  • Evenly distribute the sliced red onion and bell pepper over the cheese.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste if desired.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes or until the cheese melts and the edges of the flatbread are golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven and allow cooling for a few minutes before garnishing with fresh cilantro.
  • Slice into pieces and serve warm.
