  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 12 ounces rotini pasta
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Preparation

  • Boil a large pot of salted water and add the rotini, cooking for about 8 to 10 minutes until al dente. Drain the pasta, reserving a little cooking water, and drizzle with olive oil to prevent sticking.
  • In a skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until nicely browned, about 6 to 8 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1 to 2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Reduce heat to low, pour in the heavy cream, and stir well. Gradually add grated parmesan cheese, stirring until melted and creamy.
  • Stir in dried Italian seasoning and optional red pepper flakes. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.

Assembly

  • Combine the creamy sauce with cooked rotini in the skillet, folding together. If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of reserved pasta water.
  • Plate the dish and garnish with fresh chopped parsley. Serve hot.

Notes

For added flavor, consider garnishing with extra parmesan cheese. Pair with a green salad or garlic bread for a complete meal. Store leftovers in an airtight container for 3-4 days.
