Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 cups cooked white rice
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • ¼ cup water
  • 2 green onions sliced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Instructions
 

  • Brown the beef – Cook the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  • Add aromatics – Stir in minced garlic and grated ginger, cooking for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Make the sauce – Mix soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, cornstarch, and water in a bowl. Pour into the skillet.
  • Simmer and thicken – Stir everything and simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the beef.
  • Finish with toppings – Add green onions and sesame seeds, stirring to combine.
  • Serve it up – Spoon the beef mixture over rice and garnish with more green onions or sesame seeds if desired.
