Ingredients
  

  • 10 ounces beef tenderloin or sirloin trimmed
  • 1 tablespoon oil like vegetable or canola
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds optional, for garnish
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 inch fresh ginger peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1 clove garlic thinly sliced

Instructions
 

  • Pat the beef dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.
  • Heat oil in a skillet over high heat. Sear the beef for about 30-45 seconds on each side until browned.
  • Remove the beef and let it cool slightly before slicing it thinly against the grain.
  • In a shallow bowl, combine soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, ginger, and garlic. Mix well.
  • Marinate the sliced beef in the mixture for about 15 minutes.
  • Serve the beef slices arranged on a plate, garnished with green onions and sesame seeds, drizzled with extra marinade if desired.
