  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Optional Ingredients

  • 1 cup chocolate chips optional for extra indulgence

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the cocoa powder, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and melted butter. Mix until smooth.
  • Add the eggs and vanilla extract; stir well until glossy.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, folding gently until just combined.
  • If using, fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

Baking

  • Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, ensuring the edges are set while the centers remain underbaked.
  • Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes
