Preparation

  • Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and drizzle with oil.
  • Sauté chopped onion and bell pepper for about five minutes until the onions are translucent and the peppers are softened.
  • Add minced garlic and sauté for another minute.
  • Push the vegetables to one side of the skillet, add the ground chicken in the cleared space, and cook until browned, about 6-8 minutes.
  • Combine the cooked chicken with the sautéed vegetables.
  • Pour in the barbecue sauce and sprinkle Cajun seasoning, stirring until well-coated. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Let the mixture simmer on low heat for about five minutes.
