Preparation

  • Place full-sized candy canes inside a sturdy Ziploc bag and crush them gently with a rolling pin until you achieve small pieces.
  • In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine the marshmallow fluff and softened cream cheese. Mix until smooth.
  • Add peppermint extract and food coloring (if using) to the mixture and blend until evenly mixed.
  • Fold in the crushed candy canes until combined.
  • Transfer the dip to a festive serving bowl and sprinkle extra crushed candy canes on top.
  • Chill in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes if desired, then serve.
