  • 1 can apple pie filling (about 21 oz)
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 box yellow cake mix (around 15.25 oz)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (optional) Add for crunch

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Spray the slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray.
  • Pour the apple pie filling into the bottom of the slow cooker, ensuring an even layer.
  • Drizzle the caramel sauce over the apple pie filling.
  • Sprinkle the yellow cake mix evenly over the caramel and apple layers.
  • Pour the melted butter evenly over the dry cake mix.
  • Sprinkle cinnamon over the top and add chopped nuts if desired.

Cooking

  • Cover the slow cooker with the lid and set it to low heat. Cook for 2 to 3 hours until the cake is set and golden.

Serving

  • Scoop out servings warm and serve with ice cream or whipped cream.
