Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, garlic powder (if using), and dried herbs. Whisk together.
Fold in the shredded cheese until evenly distributed.
In another bowl, whisk together milk, vegetable oil (or melted butter), and the egg until smooth.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
Grease a loaf pan and pour the batter into it, smoothing the top.
Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until golden and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
Slice and serve warm or at room temperature.
