Cheesy Hot Honey Chicken Quesadillas
Delicious quesadillas featuring a combination of gooey cheese, sweet and spicy honey, and tender chicken, all wrapped in a crispy tortilla.
Ingredients
Main Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced Any cooked chicken such as rotisserie or grilled.
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, Monterey Jack, or a blend) Use high-quality cheese that melts well.
- 1/4 cup hot honey For a sweet and spicy kick.
- 4 large flour tortillas For wrapping the filling.
- 1 tablespoon olive oil For frying the quesadillas.
Seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- to taste Fresh cilantro, chopped Optional, for garnish.
Instructions
Preparation
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the olive oil.
- In a mixing bowl, combine shredded chicken with hot honey, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until mixed.
Cooking
- Place one tortilla in the skillet and layer half of the cheese on one half of the tortilla.
- Spoon the hot honey chicken mixture over the cheese layer.
- Sprinkle the remaining cheese over the chicken and fold the tortilla over to cover the filling.
- Cook for about 3-4 minutes until the bottom is golden brown and the cheese starts melting.
- Carefully flip the quesadilla with a spatula and cook the other side for an additional 3-4 minutes until golden and crispy.
- Remove from heat, let cool for a minute, and slice into wedges. Garnish with fresh cilantro if desired.
- Repeat the process with the remaining tortillas and filling.

Notes
