Cookie Base

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter Use natural peanut butter for a healthier option.
  • 1 cup brown sugar Packed for better sweetness.
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg At room temperature.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour Or substitute with whole wheat flour for a healthier alternative.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the creamy peanut butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  • Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until fully incorporated.
  • Sprinkle in the baking soda and salt, mixing again to combine.
  • Gradually add the all-purpose flour, stirring until a slightly sticky dough forms.
  • Using your hands or a cookie scoop, form small balls of dough and place them on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring space between them.
  • Flatten each ball slightly with the back of a fork to create a crisscross pattern.

Baking

  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until edges turn golden while the center remains soft.
  • Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.

Notes
