  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • salt and pepper to taste

Optional Garnish

  • Fresh herbs like thyme or parsley For garnish

Preparation

  • Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels to help the spices stick.
  • In a small bowl, combine garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Rub the spice mix all over the chicken breasts.
  • Optional: Sear the chicken breasts in a skillet with olive oil over medium-high heat for 2-3 minutes on each side.
  • Pour the chicken broth into the crockpot and place the seasoned chicken breasts into the broth.

Cooking

  • Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  • Once cooking time is up, shred the chicken in the crockpot or serve whole.

Notes

This recipe can easily be doubled for larger gatherings. Adjust spices to your preference, and do not open the crockpot lid frequently during cooking.
