  • 4 pieces chicken thighs Bone-in, skin-on recommended for more flavor.
  • 1 cup chicken broth Low-sodium preferred.
  • 1 cup sour cream Can substitute with Greek yogurt.
  • 1 medium onion, chopped

Seasonings

  • 2 tablespoons paprika Use high-quality Hungarian paprika for best flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil For sautéing.
  • to taste salt and pepper Adjust according to preference.

Preparation

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add chopped onion and sauté for 5 to 7 minutes until translucent and fragrant.
  • Season the chicken thighs with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  • Add the seasoned chicken to the skillet and brown on all sides for about 6 to 8 minutes.

Cooking

  • Pour in chicken broth and cover the skillet. Reduce heat to low.
  • Allow chicken to simmer for about 30 minutes until tender.
  • Stir in the sour cream and mix until fully incorporated.
  • Remove from heat and serve warm.
