Preparation

  • Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes until the onion is translucent.
  • Introduce the sliced chicken breasts into the skillet. Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until cooked through.
  • Stir in the sliced mushrooms and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes.
  • Sprinkle flour over the mixture and stir to combine.
  • Gradually pour in the chicken broth while stirring. Cook until thickened, about 3-5 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and stir in sour cream until smooth.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Serve over cooked egg noodles or rice, garnished with fresh parsley.
