Ingredients
  

Pasta

  • 16 oz spaghetti pasta Use your preferred type of spaghetti.

Vegetables

  • 1/2 cup carrots, shredded Freshly shredded for best flavor.
  • 2 cups fresh spinach Can substitute with other greens if desired.
  • 1 white onion, cut into half rounds Add more or less depending on preference.

Protein

  • 1 lb ground beef Substitute with ground turkey or chicken if preferred.

Sauces

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil For cooking the beef.
  • 3 tablespoons light soy sauce Adds umami flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons dark soy sauce For color and flavor depth.
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil Enhances the dish with a nutty flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon chili garlic sauce Adjust to taste for spice level.

Instructions
 

Cooking the Spaghetti

  • Boil water in a large pot. Add the spaghetti pasta and cook according to the package directions for 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.

Preparing the Beef

  • Heat the olive oil in a skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes.

Sautéing the Vegetables

  • Add sliced onions to the beef. Sauté for about 2 minutes until translucent.
  • Add fresh spinach and cook for about 1 minute until it starts to wilt. Add shredded carrots, cover, and turn off the heat.

Making the Sauce

  • In a separate bowl, mix together the light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, sesame oil, and chili garlic sauce.

Combining the Dish

  • Pour the sauce over the drained spaghetti in the pot and add the ground beef and vegetable mixture. Mix well to coat.

Serving

  • Serve warm. Optionally garnish with sesame seeds, chopped green onions, or fresh cilantro.
