Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a loaf pan by lining it with parchment paper.
In a mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas, egg, vanilla extract, light brown sugar, granulated sugar, and cinnamon. Stir until smooth.
In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture, stirring gently until just combined. Avoid over-mixing.
Fold in the melted butter and ¾ cup of chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and sprinkle the remaining chocolate chips on top.
Bake for 55-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
