- 1 box chocolate cake mix
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional) Use nuts like walnuts or pecans for added crunch.

Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or spray it lightly with cooking spray.
- In a large bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract. Use a spatula to mix until well incorporated and it forms a thick dough.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and nuts if using.
- Scoop tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake the cookies for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges are set and the centers look soft but not wet.
- Once baked, remove the cookies from the oven, and let them cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
