Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) or the recommended temperature for your mini donut maker.
Grease your donut pans with non-stick cooking spray.
In a large mixing bowl, combine chocolate cake mix, egg, melted butter, and milk. Mix until smooth and lump-free.
Transfer the batter to a piping bag or resealable plastic bag. Snip off one corner and pipe the batter into the prepared donut pans, filling them about two-thirds full.
Bake for 15-18 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Let cool in the pan for 5 minutes.
Flip the pan onto a wire rack to cool completely.
Heat the chocolate frosting in the microwave for 30 seconds to 1 minute until slightly runny. Drizzle over the cooled donuts.
Add sprinkles on top of the frosting for decoration.
