Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese and butter until smooth and creamy.
  • Add granulated sugar and egg, mixing until well combined.
  • Stir in the vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • Gradually combine the dry ingredients with the creamed mixture, being careful not to overmix.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips.

Baking

  • Line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • Scoop spoonfuls of cookie dough onto the lined sheets, ensuring enough space between each scoop.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until golden around the edges.
  • Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
