  • 1 cup Unsalted Butter, softened Make sure the butter is at room temperature.
  • 3/4 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 3/4 cup Brown Sugar, packed Use light or dark brown sugar based on preference.
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 2 large Eggs, at room temperature

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt Adjust to taste.

Chocolate Chips

  • 2 cups Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract. Beat until smooth and creamy.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring gently until just combined.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips with a spatula.
  • Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, leaving space for spreading.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 9 to 11 minutes, until golden brown but still soft in the center.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool on wire racks.
