Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour Sifted for best results
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature Ensure it's softened for easy mixing
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar White sugar for sweetness
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar Adds moisture and a caramel-like flavor

Chocolate Chips

  • 2 cups chocolate chips Can use semisweet, dark, or white chocolate

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour and baking soda.
  • In another large bowl, cream together the unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  • Add eggs (if included in recipe), mixing until well combined.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips carefully.

Baking

  • Drop rounded tablespoons of cookie dough onto ungreased baking sheets.
  • Bake for 9-11 minutes or until edges are light golden brown.
  • Remove from oven and allow to cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.

Notes
