Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon matcha powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, matcha powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
  • In a large bowl, cream the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy, about 3-5 minutes.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.

Mixing Dough

  • Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
  • Gently fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.

Baking

  • Drop dollops of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, ensuring they are spaced apart.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden. The centers may look underbaked but will set as they cool.
  • Let the cookies sit on the tray for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes
