Ingredients
  

Base Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups unsweetened almond milk (or any milk of your choice)
  • 4 tablespoons honey (or maple syrup for a vegan option)
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 0.25 teaspoon fine sea salt
  • 1.5 cups old-fashioned oats

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Pour 1 1/2 cups of unsweetened almond milk into a large mixing bowl.
  • Add 4 tablespoons of honey (or maple syrup) to the bowl and whisk gently to combine.
  • Add 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder and whisk vigorously until fully incorporated.
  • Stir in 1 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract and 1/4 teaspoon of fine sea salt, mixing well.
  • Add 1 1/2 cups of old-fashioned oats and stir until well coated.
  • Divide the mixture evenly among four glass jars or containers, and secure the lids tightly.
  • Refrigerate overnight to allow the oats to absorb the liquid.

Serving

  • In the morning, remove a jar from the fridge and enjoy as is or with fresh fruits, nuts, or seeds.

Notes

For store: Refrigerate jars right after mixing; should remain good for up to five days. Avoid freezing.
