Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 2 cups chocolate chips Use high-quality chocolate for best flavor.
  • 1 package Pillsbury sugar cookies For added texture and flavor.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  • Stir in vanilla extract, then add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
  • Fold in chocolate chips gently.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Drop mounds of dough onto the sheet, leaving space between each mound. Place small pieces of the Pillsbury sugar cookie dough on top of each mound.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes, until edges are golden brown.
  • Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
