Christmas Present Cupcakes
Delightful chocolate cupcakes decorated to resemble beautifully wrapped Christmas presents, perfect for holiday celebrations.
Ingredients
For the Cupcakes
- 1 box chocolate cupcake mix Follow instructions on the box for eggs, oil, and water.
- as instructed pieces Eggs Refer to the box for the number required.
- as instructed cups Oil Refer to the box for the amount required.
- as instructed cups Water Refer to the box for the amount required.
For the Frosting and Decoration
- 1 batch Buttercream frosting Use your favorite recipe or store-bought.
- as needed sheets Green and red fondant or edible paper For gift wrapping effect.
- as needed pieces Ribbon candy or edible string For decorating as bows.
Instructions
Preparation
- Preheat your oven according to the instructions on the cupcake mix box.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the chocolate cupcake mix with the required eggs, oil, and water. Mix until smooth.
- Line your cupcake pan with paper liners and pour the batter into each liner, filling them about two-thirds full.
Baking
- Bake the cupcakes as directed on the box until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Let the cupcakes cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Decoration
- Frost the cooled cupcakes generously with buttercream frosting.
- Roll out the fondant and cut it into rectangles to resemble gift wrap, placing a piece on top of each frosted cupcake.
- Decorate with ribbon candy or edible string to create bows on top.
Serving
- Arrange the cupcakes on a decorative platter or cake stand for serving.
