Ingredients

  • as directed Eggs, water, and oil as directed on the cake mix box

Mixing Ingredients

  • 1 cup frosting (matching or complementary flavor)

Coating and Decoration Ingredients

  • 1 bag green candy melts
  • 24 sticks lollipop sticks one for each cake pop
  • as needed sprinkles for decoration
  • 1 block Styrofoam block to display the cake pops

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven and prepare the cake mix according to package instructions.
  • Pour the batter into a greased baking dish and bake as directed, then allow it to cool completely.

Shaping

  • Crumble the cooled cake into a large mixing bowl until it is in fine pieces.
  • Mix in the frosting until you achieve a moldable, dough-like consistency.
  • Roll the mixture into cone shapes resembling Christmas trees.

Assembly

  • Dip lollipop sticks into frosting and insert them into the base of each cake pop.
  • Melt the green candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring to prevent scorching.
  • Dip each cake pop into the melted candy, allowing excess to drip off.
  • Decorate with colorful sprinkles before the candy hardens.
  • Insert the completed cake pops into the Styrofoam block to set.
